Straights, like bush, cheney, gonzales, etc are in the news each day and lambasted here.

but then, they are not lambasted based on their orientation or color, or country of origin.

The fact they are straight is not brought up, nor should the fact (or belief someone has about someone), that someone is gay should be brought up.

And IF that is your point, I am there with you.

Sexual orientation has zero to do with your actions - same as color, gender, etc.

An Individual is responsible for what they do, from catholic priests to senators. It does not matter if they are priests, senators, straight, gay, what have you - when you start lumping people together you start losing site of individuals and their personal responsibility.

Catholics are not bad, but individual ones can be, gays are not bad, but again individuals can be, straights are not bad, but someone who is straight can be, and so on.

It is good, IMHO, that we look at things at an individual level and not be overly judgmental of people who fall into that group.

This whole situation really has nothing to do with gay or straight, and that it is being spun as such is odd to me.
