Poll question: Do you miss Don Imus in the morning? (on the radio and/or MSNBC) |
|
I don't miss his ugliness and the juvenile behavior of his staff.
But I must say I really do miss the current events political talk that I enjoyed on MSNBC.
I couldn't bare to watch on some mornings when things got out of hand, but he did have some good guests.
And it was something to have on while getting ready for work.
I miss that. But not Imus per se.

But I think Scarborough is a better than Imus. I don't like Joe, but I like his show better than Imus.
It has just as much current events, with less juvenile name calling.

3. "I simply miss the current events political discussion" |
|
And it seems those people did not mind the constant barrage of hate-jokes and rightwing idiocy.
There was a nice essay in the boston globe op-ed section last week about the inherent dishonesty of the various regular guests on that show who claimed to be progressive of liberals and through a remarkable act of self-deception were able to separate the vile from the mediocre and pander to that old cow.

4. Here's that article: Will Lib elites go back to enabling sL-IMUS? |
|
I don't miss sL-IMUS, but the converse is not true: SCARBOROUGH is just boring and stupid. They should have given the job to Mika. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=1685053&mesg_id=1685053

His guest list on a daily basis was pretty amazing. His anti war talk was what this country needs to hear. IMO Joe is more juvenile than Imus ever was, I've turned him off. I think his quest to be cute got old in the first week.
