WTF?
Just this morning, I was listening to Nagin on how he was going to give GWB a good stern talking to on how post-Katrina promises made on behalf of the federal government remain largely unfulfilled. He seems pretty damned smitten by GW's loving touch.

3. It's a press photo
I mean there is a certain amount of congeniality that exists even between political enemies.

That's why Dick Cheney's past comments are such news.

10. Yep. Not a friendly touch.
A friendly touch is hands on shoulders. A threatening touch is grip on neck.

8. Their Feet Are Tapping!
You can't see it in the photo, but take my word for it -- Their Feet Are Tapping -- Big Time!

They both have wide-legged stances.

12. It's just a way for him to display his superiority
by invading another's personal space. It's OK for him 'cause he's the decider. I hope Nagin showers afterwards.

15. most inappropriate president. ever.
can't put blame on Nagin for his reaction. he looks more shocked than happy IMHO. after all, what was he to do, slap * away? i'm sure the USSS would have loved that, not to mention what would happen to the little federal aid that NO is getting now were he to snub the shrub outright. more telling is that when * was leading his moment of silence in honor of those who perished, Nagin was participating in a bell ringing to herald the rebirth of the city.

and besides, we're talking a president who has no regards for personal space or what is appropriate to do, or had we forgotten:

18. It's Bush's totally zombie expression---in his approach, during, and as he's walking away---that is
most disturbing.

It looks like he's on some very weird auto-pilot.

19. "frat boy friendly"
a condition that leads one to believe that they can act in anyway they want, irrespective of how it affects others. i would be surprised if he slaps-ass with his staff at the end of meetings....

21. I dunno?
Nagin looks like he's saying, "Sir, the cameras are clicking, so I'm going to smile, because I'm a bigger man than you are. However, make no mistake, I want you to get your mo' fucking hands off of me!"

I don't know why Nagin let him touch him like that. It looks condescending, but what could he do? Duck?
