What the war for "security and freedom" buys you is: wealthy, powerful people becoming MORE wealthy and powerful to BUY politicians who create laws oppressing you while simultaneously concentrating even MORE money to "THEM".

Just because the American people MUST deny the OBVIOUS ECONOMIC DISPARITY in this country, does not mean economic oppression does not exist. What's worse,...is how "THEY" push each and every one of your "principle" buttons to manipulate you into increasing their profits.

And WHEN this administration SPREADS the war across the M.E. (which will make BILLIONS for the war-profiteers), the rest of us will be suffering for that denial,...allowing these predators to do what they "WILL".

I hate to sound like a broken record but it all comes back to being in a country that has deregulated capitalism. It's put rich wealthy business criminal assholes in charge and it's HUGELY increased the gap between the upper 1% and everybody else. Sadly NONE of the candidates we have in 2008 are willing to step up and put an end to deregulated capitalism.

6. It's a lot of things, and I'm not sure people will like that term...

The concept of "regulated capitalism" is over the heads of most people. We do at least need to find a way to make everyone who tries feel secure about their and healthcare and housing. There no longer is a frontier where people can work hard, build their own homes and grow their own food.

The most recent problem I see is that hard work is no longer rewarded now that we are no longer a manufacturing economy. Now the way to get rich is with scams or inheriting it. We need to come together with more focus on creating things and being productive, not just coming up with schemes and scams, to obtain financial security.

You say, "deregulation",..the FATHERS OF THIS NATION would say "rule of law".

What "deregulation" REALLY MEANS is allowing the commission of fraud and battery against those who have no power to protect themselves from such oppression.
