Fox Snooze: Is Obama the black JFK?

The TV in the lobby of my building has Fox on (thankfully with no volume). On the screen were two black women and a graphic that said "Is Obama the black JFK."

I was in the elevator with two black people. When we got out, they stopped to look at the screen. Then the gentleman says "They're going to kill that boy."

I think the real question is "Is Obama the next JFK", but that's a whole other argument.

As long as we fear what they will do to an African American candidate (the woman said last night he couldn't be called "black" because he wasn't a descendant of slaves) or to a woman president we will always have old white men in the leaders seat. What we need to do is demand take extra care be taken of the candidate and the president when he/she is elected.

Do you not think that certain things are happening now simply because they are trying to make/keep us afraid. Afraid of change. they want us to feel secure in our sameness. If the president is white like me then nothing bad will happen, it is safer to keep the government white. Well, I say BS to this. If Obama is brave enough to run, I am willing to vote for him and demand his being kept safe. You don't ever challenge a rebel and get the wanted results!
