4. I am, too. Our union members keep American going! |
|
If it weren't for our steelworkers, we wouldn't have buildings for offices or bridges to drive across. If it weren't for our truckers, our food costs would be higher and our food not as varied. If it weren't for our miners, we wouldn't have electricity in many parts of the US.
Thank God for our unions!

8. If you REALLY want to honor those who won the early battles... |
|
...spend today thinking about the fast-food workers, the keyboard jockeys, the janitors, the cash-register jockeys, the shelf-stockers, the daycare workers, etc.
When we can organize TODAY'S wage-slaves, we will shake the corporate temples to the very rafters.
determinedly, Bright

How can we best organize them? We're stymied at every turn, from what I've heard. Maybe there's a better way?

11. I'd suggest basing the organization not on occupation, job category, or employer type... |
|
...but rather on wage level. Organize everyone who makes wages less than 250% of minimum wage into one, big Union.

Maybe that would finally get us the seat at the table we deserve!
