...Bush leaves the country. The meaning of this day could not have been lost on the White House, and I'm confident that Bush's failure to acknowledge America's rank-and-file workers sends a reassuring message to his corporate cronies.

In a way, though, I think leaving was the right thing for him to do. He's not fit to stand with the men and women who represent the Labor Movement, and he should crawl away in shame on their day.

6. Yep. Paying workers to properly maintain that bridge in Minneapolis didn't count, did it?
And forcing the mining industry to reduce fatal cave-ins doesn't count, either. But destroying a middle eastern nation, murdering its people, and robbing them of their natural resources? Now, THAT counts.

3. The lazy, spoiled, overindulged,
pampered frat boy has never had to do an honest day's work in his entire fucking life, so why the hell would he care anything at all about those of us who actually DO, whether we want to or not?

5. And there's not a word about the importance of this day on the WH web site's front page.
Do they always fail to acknowledge national holidays or is it just this one?

9. Now wait a minute.
I thought he said quite a bit about "hard work" in his debate with Kerry.

(Not that he had a clue what he was talking about, of course, but does he ever?)

8. If he did, it didn't rate being published on the front page of the WH web site.
Nor was it worth mentioning in his Saturday radio address. I hope that American Labor leaders have taken note of the glaring omission.
