1. no discussion? maybe its because we are melancholic |
|
thinking about what we had and wondering when we can have it again. He was thoughtful, intelligent, and insightful, as usual.

3. He's saying much the same thing that he said on both Letterman and Oprah yesterday, |
|
about his forthcoming book and the work of his foundation, so I'm sure that it's new. He's making the rounds, promoting his book...:-)

5. I thought Letterman was a repeat. |
|
It was nice listening to an intellectual president.

8. Nope, that was a new one. The president's currently making the rounds to promote his new book. |
|
And I sure agree with you about Bill Clinton. When he was on shortly after 9/11, Letterman practically swooned because he explained everything so coherently and clearly. It made my heart ache for the days that we had a brilliant and sane man in office, the only president who I ever voted for that won... *sigh*:-(
BTW, I had the unique and amazing opportunity to hear the man speak, in person, when he came to my little burg before the midterms, to campaign for my Democratic congressional candidate. I will never forget it, took my breath away when I walked in and actually saw him and heard his voice. And even in my red district, the turnout was SRO...:D

4. No. It was a Live new show. |

He spent the first 1/2 hour talking about Hillary and the last 10 minutes talking about his new book. I thought he was great, as usual.
However, he was MUCH, MUCH, MUCH too kind to the repuke party. THEY DON'T DESERVE HIS KINDNESS! I understand he has to measure what he says for Hillary's sake, but COME ON! One little smack-down would have been nice.:(

9. Well, Letterman is never live. They tape it earlier in the day, like a lot of late night shows, |
|
like "The Daily Show." Jon Stewart is always making jokes about it, saying that they're going to cover something that happened that day on the next show, since when they taped it, it hadn't happened yet...:-)
