Did anyone see the MSNBC Charles Manson program last night?
"Inside the Mind of Charles Manson". An interview with him.

Did he remind you of anyone? His facial expressions, his rambling rants and twisted logic? His absolute certainty that he is right and everyone else is wrong? Even his manner of speech?

I almost posted this last night but the thought so horrified me that I decided to sleep on it.

1. Incredible similarities
The other guy had his tatoos removed from his face so he could run for public office.

3. I saw Manson once, when he was on the loose. He was a scary SOB.
I'll never forget how dirty the "family" was. Jeez Louize.

4. The vocal similarity is eerie, but the real kicker for me is how they both
send others to kill for them.

5. I saw it. Manson is a truly scary man
He is right in a way, he didn't commit the murders. He did, however, plan and order the murders. And grizzly murders they were too. I am old enough to remember when all that was going on, he truly brainwashed his followers. The thing I remember most about when it was going on was his eyes, very intense with a piercing stare.

7. He shot
"Shorty" Shea, and he tied up Leono and Rosemary La Bianca so his pals could kill them a few minutes later. That makes him a direct participant.

8. I never said that he wasn't guilty as hell
And crazy as a loon too. He would have been guilty even if he hadn't tied them up. He is one of the few people that I think the death penalty may have been appropriate.

is an apt description for both men being discussed in this thread!

9. I remember being a little kid and seeing his picture on "Life" magazine
He looked scary. His story is a good example of how a sociopath is created.

We had a neighbor who bore a distinct resemblence to him, except out neighbor was tall. The guy used to lay in his kid's blow-up pool, butt-naked.

10. I watched part of it, then switched to Farenheit 9/11
which was being shown on CBC and I was thinking the same thing.
Also in the lies and the attempts to manipulate to get what he wants.
It was eerie.

My wife was half asleep on the couch while I had it on. She
thought it was * talking at first till she opened her eyes. He
sounds exactly like * but Manson sounds more intelligent.

20. I remember the Tom Snyder Manson inverviews. I always thought Manson was a two-bit punk loser.
Still do. Talk about a guy who rides his minimal notoriety into history.

He doesn't and never has scared me.

Geroge Bush? Now HE scares me.

22. Bush is Manson after electro-convulsive treatment gone wrong
At least that's the impression I have after watching part of the Manson interview. Bush is just a dumber and more privileged version of Manson. Very similar "fellows" I'd say.
