PROTESTERS have begun marching along Park Street in Sydney's CBD in a demonstration coinciding with the APEC leaders' meeting.
Organisers, the Stop Bush Coalition, said the demonstration has swelled to 10,000, but police put the number at 5,000 people present.

Wearing a tee-shirt with a mug shot of President of George W. Bush and the words "Wanted for crimes against humanity", Bainbridge told the protesters the most effective demonstration would be a peaceful one.

Matt Howard, a former US Marine who served in Iraq, told the crowd that Mr Bush had moved from the green zone in Iraq to a green zone in Sydney. "Everywhere he travels he has to erect a fortress to protect himself," he said.
"There wouldn't be boots on the ground in Iraq if there weren't oil under the ground in Iraq."
