The state Department said that this trip is part of the "regular consultations with two of Americas most important strategic partners in the war against terrorism".
Negroponte will meet with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and other Afghan officials in Kabul in addition to representatives of civil society "to discuss cooperation in counter-terrorism and reconstruction progress and achievements since 2001".
