I was a low-level Webb volunteer during the campaign, but I have a good buddy who remained with Jim and is now part of his staff. Earlier today he shared with me a couple of lines that may be included in Jim's response this evening. (And don't ask, I had to swear on the heads of my wife and kids to keep my mouth shut). But if the words I heard this afternoon are at all representative of what the nation may hear tonight, get ready to be moved. I've known Jim for about 20 years, and he is one of the most passionate and eloquent men I have ever met. We could be in for a treat tonight, folks.
on edit: My wife just told me that a few minutes ago Pat Buchanan told Tweety that he has seen a draft of Jim's speech and that it is powerful. Damn, I can't wait!
