Today's report, bogus though it may be, was brought to you by the Dems in Congress. Without the law that made this report mandatory, there would be no accountability at all.

Is a bogus report better than none at all?

1. You got to be kidding
All this stomach turning propaganda being spewed from every single news media source is to be blamed on the Democrats?

Reminds me of the crap they threw at us for the Shock and Awe campaign for Iraq.

2. Hrrr?
No, the fact that Petraeus was forced to even both with this report which, if the American people are seeing what we're seeing, makes this attempt at a PR campaign look ridiculous, can be "blamed" on the Democrats.

5. There is nothing good about this propaganda garbage
As ridiculous as it is, it will still be used as justification by rightwingers and both party DC politicians to remove all likelihood of any withdrawal date being put in any bill whatsoever.

Iraq having WMD's propaganda was ridiculous even at the time they first said it. But here it is almost five years later and one-third of the population of the US still support that idea.

6. How obvious are the lies?
Will the American people see through them?

Is putting them in a position where they feel they have to tell more lies better then allowing them to thumb their noses at us and not say a word if they so choose. They were against even having to report to Congress.

when youve lived in a country thats been told nothing but blatent lies for the last 6 years one tends to presume that the american people dont give a flying F if someone is lieing or not. most people would rather remain blissfully ignorant to anything and everything going on.

what makes you think this set of lies will change that after 6 years of lies ?

8. There is that. A friend of mine even thinks the Bin Laden tape was real
He's about half awake, and about half still sheepified.

One could only hope I suppose.

4. No
We would not of had any report or benchmarks at all without the Dems taking Congress. It's still up in the air who the American people blame for this mess, although it's not looking good for the Republicans. It would be nice if the Dems made some kind of stance this month based on the fact the benchmarks weren't close to being met and it's been 5+years.
