I want to make this plea - |
|
I do think there are some republicans worth their salt -I do - never a label to me.
Mr Warner - please don't go - Mr Hagel - please don't go.
I don't agree with you on a lot of things - but I do understand - you guys are integral parts of debate - one that has to happen. I don't have to agree with you to recognize that fact.
You guys did a good job on the whole, you argued for what you believed - maybe I did not agree - but I understand the value of the argument. I think highly of you even if I disagreed with you many times.
Please - rethink this - I think you need to stay - I think we need you to stay as a country.
And I don't even agree with some of your positions. It doesn't matter.
The United States is an eagle and it has two wings - each dependent on each other.
Don't leave us.

results--either of 1996 or 2002. Only outsiders with a conspiracy axe to grind keeps spreading this bullshit and beating this drum. It's tiresome.

3. Do you mean John Warner? |
|
If so, former VA governor Mark Warner..who's a Dem..announced today he'll be running for the other Warner's seat. Since he's very popular in VA...I have little doubt the Dems will gain that seat.

I believe in the two-party system; always have, always will.
When it works as it was meant to, it means those of opposing views can be represented - which, in turn, means a meaningful discussion leading to compromise that both sides can live with.
Democracy depends on hearing both sides, and falters - as we have seen in the past - when one party grabs the megaphone and dictates to the other.
I, too, disagree with many of the views of Warner and Hagel. I, too, wish they would reconsider.

7. Do you reallly think I would ever in my life sell out the US for |
|
politics? I think politicans are generally scum - but understand me clearly - debate requires two sides -not one. I do NOT think any party should win without having to listen and reason with the other side. Not ever.
You know that happened 2000 to 2006 - to what avail??? And where are we now???
I will not blindly rally around anyone - I want the best deal.
I grew up - and I know better.
