2. Greed...........
Everything in the world doesn't belong to him, so he hates it all.

An equal opportunity kind of guy.

3. He's Been This Way For Quite Some Time. He's Just Following Through On The Decades Old Agenda.
But short answer is quite simple, really. Greed.

4. Dick Cheney is not an American.
Americans are his enemies because we have what he and his pals need to rule the world from an undisclosed location.

5. False Solitude by Thomas Merton
“False solitude separates a man from his brothers in such a way that he can no longer effectively given them anything or receive anything from them in his own spirit. It establishes him in a state of indigence, misery, blindness, torment and despair. Maddened by his own insufficiency, the proud man shamelessly seizes upon satisfactions and possessions that are not due to him, that can never satisfy him and that he will never really need. Because he has never learned to distinguish what is really his, he desperately seeks to possess what can never belong to him.

When the Lord, in His justice, wills to manifest and punish the sins of a society that ignores the natural law, He allows it to fall into the hands of men like this. The proud solitary is the ideal dictator, turning the whole world from peace to war, carrying out the work of destruction, opening the mouths of ruin from city to city, that these may declare the emptiness and degradation of men without God.”

6. Cheney set his course long ago
Edited on Tue Jan-23-07 08:43 PM by StClone
Cheney's experiences in history from Nixon to Reagan, and later Bush I, forged in him a deluded Elitist Imperialistic Idealism.

Heart diseases didn't help him any as the reasoning/compassionate part of his brain was damaged by arterial sclerosis and withered. In the vacuum the reptile was all there was to fill the brain wave void. Bush allowing him to select himself as V.P. put us on a Historic course of Constitutional neglect and abuse. Bush's brain may not be in Rove's head alone, but in a wizened white prune body housing a malignant T. rex brain.
