Federal Prosecutor Arrested In Child Sex Sting - Can we assume he is a Repubican?
http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/14132485/detail.html

John David R. Atchison, 53, an assistant U.S. attorney from the northern district of Florida, was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Detroit Monday afternoon.
he detective, acting as the child's mother, allegedly arranged a sexual encounter between Atchison and her 5-year-old daughter, police said.

In deposition, detectives said Atchison suggested the mother tell her daughter that "you found her a sweet boyfriend who will bring her presents."

The undercover detective expressed concern about physical injury to the 5-year-old girl as a result of the sexual activity. Detectives said Atchison responded, " I am always gentle and loving; not to worry, no damage ever, no rough stuff ever. I only like it soft and nice."

3. There's already been a subthread deleted about this...

...for some (probably good) reason. Let the more professional bloggers research it, I guess, there may be some legal issues involved at this stage in the legal process. Perhaps best carried out not on a public board, now that I think of it.

4. You know what scares me the most about these stories?
Unfortunately, I'm pretty well-read on the subject of pedophiles, because
I am a survivor. In an effort to heal and try to understand what happened
to me and why--I've learned a great deal about pedophiles and the statistics
surrounding these criminals. My therapist--who also treats perps--has provided
valuable insight as well.

I've met hundreds of survivors--in support groups and also online. I've only met one
or two survivors whose perp was caught. I know that there are pedophiles who are caught
and convicted, but the overwhelming majority of pedophiles are never caught. Never. Most
of the perp crimes still remain a secret.

So, if the overwhelming majority of pedophile perps keep their crimes hidden, how
many more Republican pedophiles are there out there? The numerous Republicans who have been
caught--give the appearance that pedophilia is rampant in the Republican party.

Something is really rotten in Denmark, folks.

Is pedophilia an epidemic within the Republican party? It's a valid question.

8. Frankly I think it's more a matter of stupidity.

Whether it's pedophilia, or graft, or anything between, if you are up to something you look for the stupidest bunch of rubes to hide among. Granted in some cases "stupidity" is too harsh a word -- these are very stressful times and time is at a premium, security slows things down.

11. I think your question is valid and...
Their very well may be more pedophiles, more criminals in general in the Republican Party now. The reason is purely a pragmatic one of survival. It is natural fro beasts of any species to seek the best 'cover' when pursuing or being pursued. Just as the 'church' has proven to be a rather crowded sanctuary for sex offenders. What better cover for sinners than the bastion of religion, or a loudly self-proclaiming political party of 'Values'?

So your question is almost rhetorical, in that it answers itself almost.

15. No damage...EVER (Fuck you, inhuman scum!)
On behalf of the numerous childhood-sex abuse survivors that I have met--the damage lasts
a lifetime and is a bottomless pit.

I've held people who were crying so hard, they could barely stand. I've participated in meetings
for survivors, where people were sucking their thumbs and holding stuffed animals--trembling. I've
listened to stories about trying to quell the pain with drugs, alcohol and eating disorders. Many
of us cut ourselves just to provide a distraction from the hell these people inflict.

There is hope for all survivors. I've healed tremendously and so have thousands
of others. However, we did it by spending thousands of dollars and countless hours in therapy--trying
to mop up a mess inside ourselves--that someone else inflicted.

These bastards are insidious. "No damage...ever". There are no words to respond to such evil and
such horrendous denial. However, these are the typical musings of the pedophile.

At least this bastard was caught. He will be publicly humiliated and chastised for the monster that he is.

At least his victims can watch him be held accountable--and let's hope that law enforcement attempts to
find his victims and get them help. Does his piece of shit have children of his own? He mentioned that
he's done this "plenty of time". I'll bet he has. Someone needs to interview any child that has ever
been alone with him, and give them the opportunity to unload this horrible secret and begin healing now.

17. That line really flashed out at me, and made me nauseous.Like it's okay if it's not a brutal rape?
I've got my own history with this, and ... and ... I think that was one of the rationalizations "my" perp used to make it okay in his twisted mind.

'Scuse me while I try to keep my lunch down.

18. Unfortunately, most perps do that...
I'm sorry to hear that you endured one of these psychopaths.

What you mentioned is pretty typical of distorted pedophile thinking. They
actually believe that it's ok because, "...well, I never hurt her!". It's
so absurd.

They also twist and manipulate situations, so they can rationalize that the
child wanted to have sex. They lie to their victims, confuse them and
twist reality--and then dare to suggest that it was the 8-year old's idea
to have sex.

They're deluded. They're evil. All of these rationalizations serve themselves
while ignoring that the child is a human being, not an object.

A child cannot consent. A child has no context in which to put sexual activity.
But an adult does. An adult has full knowledge. The only reason that these
people prey on children, is because children are so easily manipulated and terrorized
into silence. Try telling me to "not tell" because my mommy will go to jail. I'd
laugh in your face. Say that to a child and she'll cower in fear and keep
secrets at the expense of her own sanity. Perps prey on the naivete of children.
They count on it.

These defectives wouldn't last 5 seconds, trying to pull these mental games on
an adult. Yeah, it's real easy to twist reality when you're dealing with a minor
who believes in Santa Claus, or children who cannot possibly put sex into its
proper context.

I hope you were able to keep down your lunch...and I hope you have many, many
peaceful and joyous lunches in the future. You deserve it.
