Kerry: "That's alright, let me answer his question." |
|
So while two of the four officers tried to take Andrew Meyer by the arms, John Kerry can be heard saying: "That's alright, let me answer his question."
Four officers desperately tried to remove Meyer without tasering him, but he continued to resist the officers, who eventually had to taser him. That's the key word here "resist."http://www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_212104340.shtml

when the campus police called in helicopter support and killed a couple dozen bystanders.

3. Get ready to be belittled... |
|
The self-appointed DU police are out in force today... and they will no doubt be mean to you... and tell you where you should or should not post.
Personally, I haven't been here in days and this is only thread #2 for me.
Peace...
and popcorn!

4. It is not illegal to resist an illegal act or ignore an unlawful order. |
|
This is like that guy the police beat into the hood of a police car. The guy was clearly within his rights to grab at the cop, if not beat the living shit out of him.

5. I hope that's sarcasm. |

Are you saying that it's OK for someone who is being a nuisance to beat the shit out of a cop?
I now believe that I really have seen it all.

Do you have a response that is at all based on anything that might conceivably be considered truthful?

"The guy was clearly within his rights to grab at the cop, if not beat the living shit out of him."
Why would I have to make anything up? Those are your words, aren't they?

17. When a cop decides to beat the crap out of you, you have the right |
|
to defend yourself in kind. If you think your life is wrongly in danger, you have a right to use deadly force against the cop.
Why do I have to explain this to you? What country are you from?

22. That you actually think... |
|
Anyone has the "right" to beat the shit out of any other human being for this reason or any other reason. That is vulgar and utterly brain-stem! I guess humankind has not evolved as much as I had imagined.
No one has the right to inflict bodily harm upon any other human being for any reason imaginable! That's the kind of thinking that starts wars.

the point is that the actions a law enforcement officers are not necessarily lawful.

Most state laws require you to follow a police officer's orders whether illegal or not. You can challenge the resisting arrest based on the orders being illegal, but it won't stop you from getting arrested. Sucks, but that's the way it is.

If a cop tells you to cut off your wife's head, are you going to do it?
It think that would be wrong.

Of course there are those who would rather make this about bashing Senator Kerry and ignore the fact that the police were there to keep the peace and protect the students in attendance.
Oh, an for those who think certain questions are off limits.
Kerry always answers the questions put to him.
