Every time Hillary Clinton dials up her Iraq rhetoric, I get turned off
I like Hillary Clinton a lot, but she loses me when she acts tough about the situation in Iraq. It's funny because she is trying to attract my vote when she does this but instead I can't help but think of her vote to authorize force on Iraq and how she won't admit her vote was a mistake.

Instead of me suddenly thinking Hillary is great because she is tough on Bush I feel like calling her a hypocrite. At least John Edwards and others have admitted they shouldn't have made the vote they made on Iraq.

Who else feels insulted every time Hillary does this?

1. I don't feel insulted, I feel enlightened.
better to know her stance NOW instead of later.

6. I don't believe Hillary believed him. Hell, she had Bill to tell her it was BS
She was more concerned with looking tough on terror than doing the right thing.

7. It's because she's female and her handlers have said she has
to act tough.

In order to do that, she must sound like a war-monger.

At least, that's what I get out it all.

:hi: Quixote.

3. I'm with you Q, she freaks me out.
What is it Hilary? Were we right to go into Iraq, kill all those people, capture and kill Sadam? If the Iraqis had come forward with the flowers as the republics had promised would you be telling us you are ready to get out now? Doesn't it bother you a little that the Iraq army never surrendered to the U.S. Troops, they just faded away to fight another day or year or several years in this case? What is your foreign policy? Take over the world as long as no one fights back too hard?

And what's with the MSM, nothing about Edwards just Obama/Clinton, Obama/Clinton, Obama/Clinton, Obama/Clinton.

4. Not me - I like it when she turns up the volume - and IWR vote of trust in Bush was a
mistake only because she should not have trusted any neo-con to tell the truth, but the IWR was not a vote to go to war.

It gave the decision on war to Bush, but only after he promised UN, truth, inspections, etc would occur before he made the decision for war - and he did none of that. Given the security situation as presented in October 2002, saying it was a mistake, like it was obvious at that point that Bush could not be trusted with American Security, is a con, in my opinion.

Hillary seems more honest than the pandering others - but that is just my opinion.

Of course that leaves Obama with the clean record on IWR, having seen Bush as untrustworthy from the beginning on the IWR. He is obviously ahead of Hillary on points on the IWR.

Meanwhile Saddam gave Bush in 2002/2003 nearly 15,000 pages of documentation that showed he had no WMD - AND BUSH CLASSIFIED 10,000 PAGES AND WENT TO WAR. Sure would like the Congress to look at those 10,000 pages for evidence that can be used in the impeachment.

5. I totally understand, and yet my reaction
is that the more she is attacked by the right and HERE AT DU, the more I want to defend her.
I haven't picked my favorite yet, btw. I do think some of the rhetoric here is way over the top.
I also predict that if she gets the nomination, she will win... and big. DUers don't have their finger on the pulse of the regular voter, IMO.
