areas I lived in, the housing assistance waiting list was at least three years. Now, the local housing assistance has been closed to new applicants for the past one-and-a-half years due to Bush's budget cuts. Now he's got more cuts in it in his proposed budget. Nobody should have to live on the streets in this country. EVER!
