"God Warrior" Perrin's Daughter Dies in Car Crash

Posted Sep 27th 2007 11:53AM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: TV

Marguerite Perrin, the God-obsessed shrew who infamously lost it on FOX's "Trading Spouses," after returning to her family, has lost her daughter Ashley in a car crash.

Ashley Perrin, 25, was driving on Interstate 55 in Ponchatoula, La., reports the Hammond Star, when her minivan hit a guard rail. According to cops, Ashley "was ejected" from the vehicle and died at the scene, but the cause of the accident is unknown. Ashley leaves an 8-year-old daughter.

The victim's mother is best known for her "God Warrior" ranting, particularly trying to throw FOX cameras out of her house when she returned to her family, and initially refusing to accept the $50,000 prize money -- because it was "tainted" and "dark-sided."

1. OMG that poor little girl
I remember how she cowered in fear as her grandmother went nuts. Let's hope someone else raises her now.

3. Oh that's sad. I felt so bad for those kids for being raised in that home,
and that poor girl won't get to have her own life out of it - not much anyway.

but this is a time for respect.

5. It is horrible for any parent to outlive a child.
My sympathies to her and her family.

6. What was so crazy about that?
Edited on Thu Sep-27-07 11:41 AM by monktonman
Seems to be normal everyday fundy behavior to me.
Bet she got a phone call from BJU asking her if she'd
like an honorary degree.
On edit: while I feel bad for the daughter and may she recieve our prayers and rest in peace,
I feel even worse for the grand daughter. Where do you think she's gonna end up?
Right back in that house.

12. No....Stupidity
I'm sorry, but anyone who fails to fasten their seatbelt, is taking a risk with their life EACH & EVERY TIME.

Careless things like this should NEVER happen, but people apparently still don't get it.

14. I dunno about Louisiana, but in Mississippi, they have a mandatory seatbelt law here.
Edited on Thu Sep-27-07 12:21 PM by Selatius
I believe the proliferation of mandatory seatbelt laws is the number one reason why deaths on America's roads have taken a general downward trend since the 1980s.

15. Mandatory Means Shit
Here in CA, I think it's like a $50 fine. And that's IF you get caught. Usually cops only pull people over for another violation, and tack on the seatbelt charge if it applies.

Someone who doesn't think it's important enough to wear a seatbelt, probably isn't going to be changed by the small possibility of getting caught, and having to pay a $50 fine.

19. In Mississippi, you can get pulled over for simply not wearing a seatbelt.
In the past, they usually tacked it on to another violation, like you say, but the law changed recently in a recent campaign of "click it or ticket!"

18. Her mother was crazy
She was crazy and a bigot and a hypocrit. But she still didn't deserve that.

No one does. and while she took her faith to a dark place on the show, i hope she finds the light that faith is supposed to bring to help her and her family through this.

That's sad.

I don't understand why someone would not wear a seatbelt especially when you have children. Do it for your kids, why take the unnecessary risk?
