I see things to the contrary. It is unpatriotic to not question our role in Iraq. We as Americans have the civic responsibility of questioning our elected officials. If we decide that it is OK to question politicians on some subjects but not on others then our political system is no better than that of Nazi Germany, or Italy under Mussolini, or Russia under Stalin.


Now I know that there are those of you out there who will say 'yes it was a mistake to go into Iraq but our country must continue because it is in the best interest of our troops'. My question is.... How? How is it in the best interest of our troops to continually put them in harm's way? How is it beneficial to continue U.S. military operations in Iraq when we know that our opposition's very presence there is on the basis of a radical interpretation of their faith? Faith, especially twisted faith, cannot be logically argued. In the history of our world the only response in regards to radical religious differences has always been war and if we read our history we know that the outcome of such wars has never been good for either side and because it is faith we are talking about, the prejudices and anger are always handed to the next generation for a new holy war and the cycle continues.


So my dear friends remember this, George W. Bush, a man who believed that God wanted him to be President of the United States, put our sons and daughters, our husbands and wives, our brothers and sisters in the middle of a Holy War, under false pretenses, that will never end so long as there is a Middle East.
