Chris Matthews new book "Lie and Manipulate Your Way Through Life" (Daily Show)
Matthews has a new book about living life like it was a campaign. How fucked up is that? He must worship pukes like Karl Rove.

Stewart couldn't bring himself to say anything good about that f'd up philosophy and pretty much told Matthews he was an evil SOB.

1. Except that Stewart's last words were: it's really a good book
Did you listen to the show or just stop when you heard what you expected?

4. He joked
"not a bad book after all" pretending he was reading it again. I doubt he really did read it during the break.

5. Here's the clue: it was a comedy show from the beginning
I'm sorry you got all wrapped up in the politics, because this really was a philosophical issue. I'll be looking forward to the next round.

6. Stewart was offended by the book and it was more than comedy
he usually throws any guest a bone but not this one

7. Matthews didn't need any favors - he's the one w/the network program
I've been close enough to show biz to know that none of these successful hosts make it without driving personalities. Matthews made legitimate points - so did Stewart. The drama was their confrontation, which again, took place on Comedy Central. I enjoyed it for what it was - and if there's a rematch I'll definitely tune in.

8. Stewart completely called bullshit on Matthews and didn't bother to hide it much.
I thought Matthews put it quite right when he said it was the book interview from Hell.
