Poll question: ROUND 2--Who do you NOT want to see get the Democratic nomination? |
|
The results of poll #1 with 61% of the vote says that the first candidate to be removed is Hillary Clinton.
As a reminder: I'm going to post a poll asking you to vote for the person you LEAST desire to get the Democratic nomination for POTUS. The winner (who will actually be the loser) will be dropped from the list, and I'll post another poll with that candidate's name removed. I will repeat the process, until, by elimination, one candidate is "chosen" by those participating.
Remember vote for the one you DON'T want to get the nomination. I'd appreciate if you will keep this kicked. I'm doing an experiment. The candidates are presented in alphabetical order.
Of those remaining (remember Hillary is gone, so don't ask where she is...she was in poll #1) who do you want to eliminate from getting the nomination? Again, in alphabetical order:

might vote for someone else this time. I find this process interesting.
BTW, for the record: I am NOT voting in any of these polls.

That better? Checking the actblue page gives a better snapshot of where DU stands than this silly "poll" dance.

47. MethuenProgressive's assumption about me is right on! Where the assumption |
|
falters is I'm rarely awake before lunch. That could be attributed to the time zone, though.
I'm not insulted in the least by this, nor would I be if I were currently employed. It was funny.

this one is much more spread out. I would have thought Clinton supporters would have come out in droves to elimate Kucinich. Maybe they just haven't made it yet.
This is a VERY interesting poll rateyes.

27. There are two issues here that affect how you vote: electibililty and positions.... |
|
If you don't want a candidate to get the nomination because they cannot win the General Election, that is different from eliminating a candidate because you do not agree with their positions.
I voted to eliminate Gravel because of the electibility issue.

29. Interesting how the two "extremes" of the party are the first to be cast off the island. |
|
If this poll holds up as it is now, anyway.
I suppose Gravel might be more extreme than Kooch, but he has a slighter smaller audience, which would explain the small spread between those two.And Hillary is perceived by many to be the most "right-wing" of the Dems.
I still say Edwards is the most electable for us, even though I like DK myself (Dennis Kucinich and the Dead Kennedys!).

46. A better way to do it is like run off voting. But I don't think DU |
|
has the capability. It would be for everyone to vote for their top three candidates. Then you eliminate the guy with the least votes, then the next least votes and keep doing that until you end up with the guy with the most votes even though s/he may have been a second or third choice for many.
