Bush Cheney '08... wtf???????????????? |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-09-07 07:59 PM by AmBlue
Sitting at a stop light today behind a shiny red pick-up truck with tinted windows, I noticed a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker on the rear window. While I was suppressing the usual urge to throw rotten watermelon at the driver, I noticed that the bumper sticker was fresh and new looking, not the usual faded variety. Then the hair on the back of my neck stood up about the same time that my 9yo son says: "Mom, HOW CAN THAT BE?? BUSH CHENEY IN '08??? That can't happen!! I thought you said...."
You can imagine the rest of the conversation. The implications of this piece of sticky paper on a window were so creepy... I started to pull out my cellphone to take a snapshot as the light turned green and then it was too late. The design is identical to the '04 stickers. Has anyone else here seen these things?

BRAND new Caddy with a temporary plate:
"Don't blame me, I voted for Bush/Cheney." :wtf:
I only WISH I was kidding...

I can't imagine who would be printing these Bush Cheney '08 stickers. Someone went to some serious trouble to do this. They looked just like the original ones.

3. It is an indication of the division in this country. |
|
I am seeing it everywhere I turn. From logging practices, to war plans, to global warming...
What disturbs me the most is that decisions have been made, and seem to be immovable. People are irrational in America.
And this leads me to conclude only one thing. We are not going to learn the easy way. But it may be the following generation that pays the price. This kind of ignorance combined with arrogance only leads to conflict. But then they killed JFK, RFK, and MLK. So what's new.

7. Well it certainly wouldn't be our Congress that |
|
would ask them to leave. They'd probably just roll over and tell us all again that impeachment is off the table.....problem is, their tables have plenty of food, bills are paid while the people who elected them to straighten out this mess are struggling mightily.

If such a thing were attempted, the people must rise up. I don't think it's too early to be making plans.

17. In principle I agree. However, I can't imagine any effective way |
|
the masses of American people could exert enough power to overthrow the current mechanisms, even if hundreds of millions participated.
The thugs in power would think nothing of mowing them down in the streets or incarcerating millions.

At least it's not some focus group that's actually inciting mass insurrection. Thanks, MetaT, I should have thought of that. Regardless, it's still creepy. Accomplishing exactly what they set out to do, I guess.

Doesn't piss me off. Just reinforces my opinion that the Bushies somehow remain unaware the damage their chimp has done to this country, or that they just don't care.
And; yeah, they are still that stupid.

Given how ignorant the average Bushie is, may-be they actually believe he and Cheney can run again in '08? Wouldn't surprise me.

"Reagan '88" bumper stickers. It is wishful thinking on the right. I mean really if there is going to be an emperor do you think Dick Cheney is going to continue to play the man in the wings? It should be "Cheney/Coulter '08"
