"Annoy a Conservative: Think Before You Vote!" |
|
A bumper-sticker idea in response to a bumper sticker I saw lately, "Annoy a Liberal: Work Hard and be Happy" ( I don't know what it means, either), but also to counter the "Vote" threads today.

1. How about just "Think". |
|
"Annoy a Conservative: Think."
Or
"Annoy a Conservative: Defend The Constitution."
Or
"Annoy a Conservative: Think for Yourself."
Or, here's one that LiberalDemocrat can put on a bumper-sticker by squeezing it into tiny little text and putting the line breaks all in the wrong places (without necessary punctuation):
"Annoy a conservative Defend life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness with equality for all and malice toward none like our Founding Fathers envisioned"

2. Great - reminds me of one of my favourite election stories! |
|
Shortly before the 2004 election, my friend's 7-year-old son came home from (British) school, and said that he and his friends had been talking about the American candidates, whom they'd seen on television. My friend asked him whom he liked best. "Bush." My friend was REALLY startled at that (he wasn't getting anything like that at home!) and asked him why. "Because I think he looks better, and Kerry looks a bit stupid." "But you can't just go by their looks - you have to find out what they want to do, and think about that before you vote." The little boy was really shocked: "You mean you have to THINK about it?!"
Alas, some voters are still at the stage of 7-year-olds; they don't believe that you have to THINK about it!
