Toddler hit with taser shock
Edited on Tue Oct-16-07 09:17 PM by Bluebear
(If the woman was using the tot as a shield, why was this taser shot fired anyhow?)

====

A woman could be charged with child endangerment, after police say she used her toddler as a shield against a taser gun. Police say a bounty hunter tracked a suspect named Joe Hawkins to an Oklahoma City apartment complex Friday night. Hawkins got into a car and the bounty hunter fired his taser gun, authorities say.

Police say a woman in the car held up the 2-year-old boy, in an apparent attempt to block the taser. The boy suffered only minor injuries, police said. The child was hit in the hand with one of the taser probes. Since he was hit by only one probe, he was not shocked.

Police arrested the mother and two other women at the scene, but Hawkins got away...

The bounty hunter, who also was not identified, apparently did nothing wrong. "He can certainly use a Taser if he feels there is a need to do so," Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Keith Vance said.

2. I'd like to see video
but if she held up her own kid to block a taser, she's not much of a mother.

6. Motherhood aside, how could the taser shooter have 'done nothing wrong'?
You better know you can hit your target before you fire a weapon.
