14. C-SPAN should start a new channel just for the protesters. Because: |
|
a) They're usually more interesting than the scheduled speakers b) They're often more well-informed than the scheduled speakers c) The reason they're protesting and "disrupting" stuff is because we no longer have a voice or a microphone-- so give us one!

Code Pink gets their point in quite well during the moment when decorum is not needed, before, after, and during the breaks.

They are both recommending this guy to be confirmed. I'm anxious to hear what the guy has to say about what Gonzo has done to the DOJ and the behavior of DOJ employees in the U.S. attorney scandal, what he thinks about Habeas Corpus, TORTURE and the ILLEGAL NSA PROGRAM.

I love Hatch's new catch phrase - mainstream obscenity.
Hello, Mr. Hatch. Remember Miller vs California? It's not obscenity until a jury of community members reaches that verdict. You sir, are not a community.

Given who is the Acting AG, we all know this is fast-tracked and the best that can be achieved, in a Bushco nominee, so get him on record. That is her tactic.

crap. He won't come right out and say the psycho has overreached on his authority. He doesn't know enough about the program? He was nominated in SEPTEMBER. He didn't brush-up on the NSA wiretapping program? Surely he knew he would be questioned about it. I think he read it, agrees with it and doesn't want to admit that he agrees with it OR he agrees with it, didn't read it, on purpose, so he could say, without lying, that he didn't read it and doesn't know enough about it to answer questions on it.
He's going to be confirmed and then we're going to find out how RW this guy really is. I don't trust him.
