Gore and Boxer... An incredible team!
Edited on Thu Oct-18-07 03:23 PM by Labors of Hercules
Al Gore and Barbara Boxer in San Francisco:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJmoCQjKSeE

As she happily mentions in the video, a repuke pseudo-scientist named Tim Ball, (trying to malign her stance on the environment), said: "Boxer is the Senate's New Al Gore" (http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCommentary.asp?Page=/Commentary/archive/200709/COM20070928a.html)

Barbara Boxer has a letter to Al that folks can send in her name on her website:

Dear Vice President Gore,

Congratulations on your recent Nobel Peace Prize for fighting global warming! We'd like to thank you for your incredible leadership on the critically important issue of global warming.

You spoke out about global warming before it was popular to do so, and produced "An Inconvenient Truth," a movie that has educated millions of people around the world about the dangers of global warming.

Your leadership on this urgent issue has been crucial to putting it on the international agenda, and for that we thank you.

These two working together for the benefit of our nation gives me hope again, (and how incredible would it be to see a Gore/Boxer Administration in 2008)?!!!

Here's to both of you, Barbara and Al! :patriot:

2. I have absolutely always believed
that Boxer was MADE to be Gore's VP. I like Barbara. She is one great little dynamo! If only SHE had decided to be our woman nomination instead of ..you know.

15. I'll Second, Third & Fourth That Comment!!
Just an example of how Fucked Up this country IS and WILL BECOME!

We can't get people like Gore, Boxer, Feingold or Dean to run again....yet we're STUCK WITH HILLARY!

That's our lot in life I suppose. Amerika's future is a MONARCHY, and it's bleak indeed.

3. Two True Leaders
Boxer never ceases to amaze me for her courage and absolute integrity; she has fought so many battles over the years. She is one of the few things I miss about California. I don't think I've ever questioned her judgment on any political issue, at least I can't remember any.

5. I liked the way she held the gavel up when Al was testifying
and told Inhofe to go %^$#_*& him self,... no wait that's what I was saying, she said "elections have consequences".

7. With Gore as President, just imagine how many intelligent, committed Cabinet members we would have.

I prefer Bill Richardson for VP, though Boxer would be excellent too.

If not VP, how about Boxer for EPA head.
Edwards for Secretary of Labor
Biden for Secretary of Defense
Conyers for Attorney General
Kucinich for DEA Director (or Secretary of Peace)
Dodd for Secretary of State.

Obama for Senator from Illinois
HRC for former First Lady

8. A most appropriate appraisal...

Especially with the role so graciously bestowed upon Hillary, but to be fair, she would be an appropriate candidate for the "Senator from New York" also.

11. I stand corrected: HRC for Senator from New York and former First Lady
Other nominees:

Bill Clinton for UN Ambassador
Jimmy Carter for Chairman of the Federal Election Commission
Robert Koehler for White House Press Secretary
Keith Olbermann for Edward R. Murrow
Harold Ford, Jr. for Senator from Tennessee (hell, we've already voted him into that position once, why not actually give it to him)
Congressman Steve Cohen (D, Memphis) for a large Black woman
Patrick Leahy for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (after impeaching Roberts and Alito)

You get my drift ...

Just wondering, what's the process for impeaching a Supreme Court Justice?
