that Congress has passed in order to protect the country?

While helping the SO get in and out of the car I thought I heard that in an NPR report, but while openning and closing doors, stowing crutches, etc. I am not sure.

1. Yes, you heard it, I read it.
This man is as far gone as his predecessor.

Attorney general nominee Michael B. Mukasey suggested today that the president could ignore federal surveillance law if it infringes on his constitutional authority as commander in chief.

Under sharp questioning about the Bush administration's warrantless eavesdropping program, Mukasey said there may be occasions when the president's wartime powers would supersede legal requirements to obtain a warrant to conduct wiretaps.

3. You expected something better?
I couldn't wait for Gonzo to go, but I always kept in mind how much worse Gonzo was than Ashcroft(which I thought was impossible).

Expect this guy to be worse.

4. Well, I didn't expect worse.
I don't think Gonzo ever went so far in a confirmation hearing.
