Pelosi and Reid should stick the SCHIP funding on the next war handout bill |
|
It's pretty much a given that they'll cave and give Bush another blank check for their war, so at least they could save a tiny bit of face and duct tape the SCHIP funding onto the next war profiteer bill in the same way they got that tepid minimum wage increase passed back in the springtime.
If Bush whines about it, tell him that if we can't afford to shell out $30 billion over 5 years to make sure kids can go see the doctor, then we sure as hell can't afford to spend the same amount in five weeks to make sure defence contractor welfare queens get to buy more Lexus SUVs.

1. Oh, but that would take intelligence and enough guts to stand up to Bush and the GOP. |
|
Both are sorely missing when it comes to Reid and Pelosi.
All they can do is talk the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk, they're never around.
I'm tired of both of them. They are weak, and are not doing what the Dems were elected to do.

4. Wounded vets don't help in the continuance of the war. |
|
Therefore Bush doesn't give a shit about them.
