She left it at that and stated she wanted to just get the care she needed

She will be fine

But she truly does not know what happened and that she may have been pushed from behind

So I guess there is much more to the story than you think, don't you think?

She's a good egg and didn't deserve that to happen to her, whatever it was.

But Jon Elliot doesn't deserve to be treated like crap when he apologized and she's the one

who, basically, started the story in the first place. Argh! :crazy:

He was upset by the e-mail but she started the rumor!!

He has a great sense of humor, he's kind and intelligent. He has informative
guests, he's a liberal and we need more people like him and his show on the radio.

7. So the Randi story is-

She was standing outside a pub, possibly impaired, she won't say, somehow she fell, hit her face, she can't recall. She then for some reason sends a joke email saying she was mugged to Jon, who takes it (understandably) at face value, and goes on air with it. People then speculate that right wing loonies went after her (also somewhat understandable-Timothy McVeigh, abortion center bombers). Right wing nutjobs then get to laugh at the left wingers for their crazy paranoia. God, what a mess.

It seems like all this could have been avoided if she'd sent an email that was straight.

8. You are correct, Sir! - But she was disoriented and had lost consciousness

so maybe she just wasn't sure what happened to her. She did say "she might have been pushed
but she wasn't sure" what happened and so, Jon Elliot was notably upset by the e-mail and now
he's taking the fall and apologized, inspite of the blow up. Not to mention, there have been
death threats against AAR hosts, as recently as last year to Rachel Maddow. So, in that light,
I can understand WHY Jon was upset. He deserves a break today! ;)

This goes for our side too. During the controversy there were people plotting for revenge for the now false attack on Rhodes. Luckily not here on DU, but other progressive and liberal websites. Cross your fingers if the FCC doesn't investigate.
