I have just about had it
Edited on Thu Oct-18-07 09:47 PM by mitchtv
The Dems are really blowing it with their lack of spine, and/or beliefs. One loss after another, one capitulation after another. I had just finished reading an article in The Nation on how the Dems blew it in 8 months, when the phone rang. It was the DNC, I just wasn't ready for their bi monthly call, but I was waiting. I told the kid Move On got my money for the rest of the year", and hung up. I have been a Dem since the 60's, through thick and thin, some real bad times, but these days are among the worst. I can't defend them any more.

1. Blame S CHIP on the pukes.
Only two Dems voted against it.
Our Dems did well today, even though they lost.
Sometimes we have to go after the real bad guys.
this time its the republics.

7. Hey c'mon now. At least it's still in the double digits.
Wait a month or two. That could change.

Dammit. I knew I should have invested in "put options" on the Congressional approval rating. I'd be rich.

3. The DNC called me today too and I told them that
because my job was shipped over seas and they aren't stopping funding for the War
and now there is a callup of 20,000 National Guardsmen and my son may be recalled
that they could count on my whole $5.00 going to Kucinich! :P And then I hung up. :grr:

9. There is only one party . . . . . . . .
We have one party, The "Property" Party. Uncle Sams job is to keep us all scared to death so he can keep taking our money, in the form of taxes and then giving it to the Military Industrial Complex for War. If we did not have a real enemy to be scared of then it would be necessary to create one just so we could spend money and keep the top 2% happy.

It is the oldest story in history and it is one of the main reasons that Rome bit the dust. Were in the last stages of our Republic and entering the Despotic stage of empire. It will be up to the American people to decide when to end this crap just like the people of Great Britain ended their Emperical Hegemony after WWII.

I feel, from my research, the pale has been tipping this way since 1916 when the Bankers finally took hold of the country.

I feel we are no longer have a Representative Democracy and especially not a Social Democracy like many believe we started out with but we are in fact a pseudo Fascist Totalitarian State. I think it is common sense that the corporate power in the country runs all that is government. 8 trillion in debt to the chinese for this little war just to keep Isreal from fighting their own war to steal land they don't own and have no right to, or to control oil in a country across the world under someone elses land after we have killed 300,000 of their children and almost a million of their citizens through embargos and war for absolutely no reason. Of course our gas prices did go down????????????????????????Oh no wait no they didnt.

Of course we were warned time and time again.

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”
Woodrow Wilson - 1916

“Of all the enemies of public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies. From these proceed debts and taxes. And armies, debts and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the dominion of the few….. No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”

James Madison – 1795

“This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government.
We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military
industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”

President Dwight David Eisenhower - Republican
January 17, 1961

I have the South in front of me and the Bankers behind me and for my country I fear the Bankers more.

Abraham Lincoln – 1863

“The Domination of Government by Corporate Power is the Essence of Fascism”

Franklin Roosevelt – WWII

Explained that the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights will never be destroyed by a foreign enemy but would be subverted within by “Malefactors of great wealth who would steal them from within.”

Teddy Roosevelt – Republican

“Fascism should not be called Fascism thus it should be called Corporatism” Because it is the merger of state and corporate power.

Benito Mussolini
