Low poll numbers for Congress should not be viewed as a Dem negative. |
|
People are unhappy, but they're unhappy because of the obstrucionism of the Republicans in Congress.
Challange everytime you hear the comparison between Bush and Congress portrayed as R's vs. D's.
The Congress has lots of R's in it, and they're being pure clusterfu@#ks.

5. Actually, it's quite correct. Look at the generic R v D contests |
|
The GOP's tactic of obstructionism is gonna cost 'em ... big time.

I want to wipe the floor with these fuckers in 2008 and you don't get that by ripping your own side over what can't realistically be done. I'm sick of all this bitching and moaning. This Congress has done alot of things right and is certainly better than the last one.

....low poll numbers for Congress are a Dem plus....most people out there lump all the schmucks in Washington together as do-nothing politicians....
....no, the Dems have a problem and you have to look no further than our base....'08 will be a close, tight election, everywhere....and it should have never been that way....

Just compare the poll numbers for Congressional Democrats to Congressional Republicans. It is not really surprisiing that the media rarely reporst on this breakdown: http://pollingreport.com/cong_dem.htmhttp://pollingreport.com/cong_rep.htmNeither is doing that well, but the Republican numbers are substantially lower in popularity.

7. Congress is letting Bush have his way. |
|
That really should say it all. Americans hate Bush, but they hate Bush enablers more. I know most Democrats are trying, but just don't have the numbers to overcome the vetos and the stupid ass Republican tricks. The problem is, the Dems just aren't countering, adapting or evolving in response to the Republican "strategy". What is so awful about allowing the Republicans to filibuster? Put them on display so they can pontificate with their idiot, insane speeches in front of all of America and see what happens. I know the Dems have a hard fight since the media is shilling for Bush, but that's no excuse. The Republicans are leaving Congress left and right. If the Democrats don't have the will to fight and fight hard, then they should do the same.
