Do the voters have ANY say concerning replacing Pelosi or Reid? |
|
I understand the House/Senate chooses their own leaders; I just wonder if there is any responsibility to the constituents who desire Democratic leaders on The Hill who will stand up to BushCo?
Kudos to Chris Dodd for doing that yesterday on FISA! We need far more of that and far less capitulation.
Anybody know, is there a specific time-line or tenure for each leadership position, or can the status of who leads be reviewed and/or changed at will?

1. I suppose the people of a state could recall... |
|
...their senator or congressperson.

2. nope. Members of Congress cannot be recalled. |
|
They can be expelled by a vote of the house to which they've been elected.

4. I don't want them recalled... |
|
I DO want them stripped of their Leadership positions.
They have not earned the right to keep them! As politicians on The Hill, they can mingle with the others and do the work of the people; but as our Party's chosen leaders and by default, symbols of what the Dems stand for - both have failed the test.
We need leaders with muscle, bravado, courage, and an understanding of what the people elected them to do. STAND UP TO OUR CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION!

3. Call your rep and senator. |

They can make the change if need be.
