Pete Stark was just expressing what he and the rest of us (and 80 percent of Americans) felt. Every Democrat who's unnecessarily apologized in the past (Dick Durbin et all) should take note: NEVER apologize for being right.

Kissing ass is highly overrated as a way to win friends and influence people. Nobody likes or respects an ass kiss. Dems should learn something: If you say it...mean it. And if you mean it...don't apologize for it.
