I love my representative - Ed Perlmutter D-CO

We elected a good one here in Denver a couple of years ago. When I call him or email his office, I always get a response and almost always the one I want to hear. You don't find his name on the lists of turncoat Dems. He knows who his constituency is and represents them very well.

OK so we screwed up on Salazar (really! We thought we were electing a DEM! I swear!), we've still gotta get rid of our embarrassments like Tancredo, Musgrave and Doug (How dare you criticize me, I'll call God down on you!) Lamborn. We're also going to elect a DEM Senator to replace that old fossilized Bush Butt Kisser Wayne Allard next year.

Why did I write this? I just like my rep. He doesn't get a lot of press (hey he's a first-termer) but he's on our side and wanted to say so.

Edited because I'm a crappy proofreader.

1. Colorado still has a lot of conservative areas...
so I'm not surprised that Salazar did get elected, or that he's still fairly popular with the state as a whole.

Musgrave is a fake. She's all politics, no representation.

I can't wait until November when we kick her back to Fort Morgan.

She barely won 2 yrs ago against a very underfunded Angie Paccione. There was rumor that Angie was thinking of running again. Someone needs to take that fundie mouthpiece out (edited to add) of office (I don't want a visit by the FBI).

As for Salazar I just keep calling and emailing to remind him who elected him. We'll see if he comes around.

6. It's going to take a centrist Democrat with little to no baggage...
which is Betsy Markey. :)

The problem is appealing to Weld County, and Betsy does that. That's where Paccione fell short in 2006. :)

Hey - you could always volunteer for the Markey campaign. Help out. :)
