When I get a call from any Dem Org for money... |
|
Like the Dem Congressional Committee, I just ask; "are our troops still in Iraq? I'll donate when we get them home."

2. That's fair. I felt I had to do the same during the Kerry campaign. |
|
I was making my donation bit by bit - $100 a shot, so I could decide each time whether I'd make it or not.
I finally decided that if Kerry wasn't willing to defend himself (and by extension ME) I couldn't support him.
I had a long talk with a very sweet woman who was making the call, because I didn't want to be nasty to her - she wasn't responsible.

3. Do NOT give to the DCCC |
|
The money is controlled by the DLC faction in Congress and will be used ONLY to elect candidates who agree to support the DLC agenda, not the Democratic Party agenda.
Your donations will be used to fund candidates who will work against you.

9. Rahm Emmanuel is in charge of the DCCC |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-19-07 08:37 PM by OzarkDem
he is a fervent and unapologetic DLC acolyte. In his capacity as head of DCCC he has the final say on which Dem candidates races are targeted for funds from DCCC. That's just the way the system works. He twisted many arms to be in control of those funds, for good reason.
Google his name and read anything he's said about how he personally has done so much to get his DLC friends elected.
On edit: better to give your money to the individual Dem candidates who you know represent the interests of the party.

7. I, who advocate boycotts applaud your stance on not donating. |
|
We need to disable the conservatives in this Democratic party. Let them go to the Libertarian party where they belong.

10. Last night I said the same thing |
|
I said when the troops were out, and my habeas corpus rights were restored, and Verizon couldn't give the president my phone records if there is no warrant, THEN I will open my wallet again. I also told them I tore up the last postcardd mailer and put it back in the envelope, and sent it back to them.
Felt bad for the guy, but it felt good.
