The RWers Plan is to attack when Dems speak with conviction, ignore when Dems seem weak |
|
It just hit me.
Every time a Dem says ANYTHING with conviction, guts, determination, gusto - the Repukes attack and demand they apologize, to make them appear weak.
It doesn't actually matter WHAT the Dems say. As long as its unequivocal, adamant, enduring, and clear, the Republicans attack and try to get the Dem to reverse themselves.
That is their master strategy. "Keep the Dems appearing weak."
Period.
That's it. That's their entire strategy.

1. Therefore, don't apologize. Counter-attack. |
|
And never ever play by their rules.

2. Serial spouse abusers do the same, don't they? |
|
It works pretty well for Reid, Pelosi, et al.
Actually, I think its Hoyer, Emmanuel and the DLC crud that do the intimidating.

3. Why shouldn't the pukes make Dems back down when it's SO easy to do? |
|
Our Democratic leaders, almost without exception, are cowards and fools. The Republicans know this, and know how to make them cringe on cue. I really wish our Democratic leaders had one-tenth the balls the GOP leaders have.
When was the last time a Republican backed down from an over-the--top statement?
I don't remember, either.

That's why I'm so glad that Move On didn't back down even though they were shaken down for full price of the the ad they ran. (I think the Times were pressured into inventing a billing error in hopes that MoveOn would get mad and refuse to do any further business with them.) And I pray that Rep. Stark doesn't back down either despite Nancy's describing his remarks as "inappropriate" and "below" the proper level of discourse. When we make the right pay attention, then we've done something right.
