All is finally good....a perspective on things from a dad

Last week my daughter (6) did not want her best friend to come over and play. They play hours a day every single day.

And this went on for 4 days.

Today, they played and her friend is spending the night yet again.

I am still not sure what sparked the issue, only something my little girl mentioned about arguing on the playground at school and something her friend said about not talking to her again.

I think too about myself and my wife, we have said things to each other at times we later regretted, usually in the heat of the moment when we both under intense personal stress.

But in the end, we hug and make up and forge on together in this one life we have to share with each other.

And sometimes, we here on DU do the same.

So if I have offended you, and I know there are some I have, let's move on - accept my apology - and let's keep fighting the good fight together against the conservatives in this country who want to destroy all we have fought to accomplish for one another.

We won't always say nice things to one another, we sure as hell won't always agree (how boring would that be???), but we stand together with a common goal. How we reach that goal, we will argue over, but that does not mean we don't like each other.

So grab a beer, make up, and let's have an orgy that would shame the Romans :) Keep up the good work ya all, and once more - if I pissed ya off, I am sorry - and I will probably do it again, but I am still on our side.

started out kinda bad in some ways, but went up from there.

My daughter and her friend made me nice cards with their crayons, and then got all the stuffed animals lined up in daughter's room and sang for me.
