Free pet boarding in San Diego for evacuees
If you have pets in San Diego and are being evacuated VCA hospitals are taking pets free of charge until Nov. 5th. You must call before hand. Remember to save your pets!

1. That's great news! I think they've learned that lesson from
Katrina - that people are more likely to evacuate if they know their pets are being taken care of also.

My thought was that they were flying the pets to safety. You know, the pets wre boarding planes. :eyes: No matter, it's good news for pets and owners alike.

List of Animal Hospitals Offering Free Pet Boarding
October 22, 2007, 3:16 PM PDT

VCA animal hospitals throughout Southern California are offering free boarding through Nov. 5 -- on a space-available basis -- for animals whose owners have been evacuated or displaced as a result of the firestorms.

Pet owners should call ahead to double-check, but VCA facilities in Los Angeles and Orange counties that may have space available include:
