Also, that the loss of homes was particularly tragic because there were so many people who had saved their money for many years to make a down payment. (TRANSLATION: These are good conservative types who believe in working and saving, taking personal responsibility for so that they could achieve the American Dream through the free-enterprise system, not liberal welfare queens or people whining for government help.) :eyes:

English isn't his first language, so I don't think it's valid cause for ridicule. Unlike, say, a certain squatter in the White House who routinely mangles his mother tongue.

who saved for years to make a down payment. It's what you have to do to afford a house in a region where the median price is around $500,000. There a lot of us out here who believe in working and saving and taking personal responsibility who don't vote for Republicans.
Arnold does have problems speaking extemporaneously in his second language, but this is not a huge gaff for him.
