Bush and Cheney have made the US MILITARY look WEAK!
Let's put things into perspective. John Kerry was right when he said that we should enter war 'when we need to' not when 'we want to'

Let's make no mistake, we need a strong military at home and abroad to be able to respond to disasters and foes.

When Bush and Cheney decided to wage war with Iraq because 'they wanted to' (ie. to siphon off its oil) they put the military in a position where it is now considered WEAK. It is not coping with the situation. It cannot effectively operate as a peace keeping force. The US military is not trained for that as it stands and the generals know that and they have been too frightened to find a way of stopping this escalation.

Bush and Cheney are rookies (chickenhawks or whatever you want to call them) and do not understand war. They are only interested in their virtual goals.

We know that there are 1000x more terrorists in Iraq than there were to start with. Somehow it is convenient that Bush brings the name Al Queada up constantly saying we're fighting terrorists (it makes you wonder whether he rents them?). The only way to be effective is for Bush to draft and the American public is against that, especially now.

The whole thing has been a fiasco and it has NOT been fair to our troops or their families to put them in this situation of false pretenses.

Just think about what other countries now think of the US? They think we are weak and helpless are incapable of dealing with a war. The Russian and Chinese can see this and are waiting for an opportunity.

What does that say to the American people?
