11. The American Dream -- sell to Disney
starting a successful business is admirable and there is nothing wrong with selling to Disney. But it sure seems like a strange reason to be honored at the SOTU.

12. I have seen a lot of people perform some incredibly heroic acts, but that guy
just blows me away.

There has been no time in my life when I would have had the sheer selfless bravery that Mr Autrey exhibited that day.

17. I agree. Whenever I reflect on what he did, I get goosebumps.
I can't quite articulate how profound his actions feel to me. A true selfless hero. :patriot:

I seriously doubt he's a Repuke. I saw him on Letterman the night he was on.

16. Bush.
He may be a Bush supporter. But that's okay. He's still an awesome hero and I won't hold that against him. When he appeared on Letterman he mentioned something about how the troops are fighting for our freedom stuff. You know the usual repug talking points.

19. He is a Navy veteran
but I took his comments on Letterman to be more of a "support the troops" thing, not necessarily an endorsement of the war.
