1. Just Talked With My Lawn Service Here In Illinois - All The Leaves Are.....
still on the trees and mostly green - no fall colors. I'm thinking we'll have our first snowfall and the leaves won't be down yet.

3. Where do you live?
In N. Cal the leaves are turning and some days are cooler, but today is Indian Summer and we like it just fine.

5. Indian Summer is pretty common at least in my memory
and I always love it. I remember some very warm Thanksgivings. In 1998 specifically, when I had new puppies it was such an awesome day, high 60s, that I decided to drive to my sister's house. This was in South Dakota at the end of November.

Watch your local weather and I will bet that you have not broken a record for today's date. I will also bet that whatever the record is, it is over ten years old.

It always annoys me, when weather people say "above normal" or "below normal" because quite often a temparature within two degrees of whatever the temperature is that day happens probably 3 times every ten years. So it is not really THAT abnormal.
