Romney says Sen. Clinton 'intern' ad not meant to invoke scandal

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Friday it was natural for his campaign to turn its advertising against Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton but he denied a new TV ad was meant to remind voters of the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

The Romney campaign began airing an ad Friday in the first primary state of New Hampshire. The ad says Clinton lacks sufficient experience to run the country.

Romney, a former venture capitalist and Massachusetts governor, tells voters in the 30-second ad that Clinton, at best, has been an intern in the White House.

"Hillary Clinton wants to run the largest enterprise in the world. She hasn't run a corner store. She hasn't run a state. She hasn't run a city," Romney says in the ad. "She has never run anything. And the idea that she could learn to be president as an internship just doesn't make any sense."

2. Right. It wasn't intended to remind voters of the ML Scandal. I believe him.
And THIS is the same old song we just heard from Rudy today regarding Biden:

"Hillary Clinton wants to run the largest enterprise in the world. She hasn't run a corner store. She hasn't run a state. She hasn't run a city," Romney says in the ad. "She has never run anything. And the idea that she could learn to be president as an internship just doesn't make any sense.

I think we'll be REALLY tired of hearing that line by the time the elections come around.

4. What a jerk.

He probably thinks of himself as sly and clever. We've had 8 godawful years of that. My gut level hunch is that some truly disgusting revelation about him will trickle out during the campaign.
