2. I wonder if the "Corporations" have become too strong for anyone to stop.

Not trying to be a defeatist, but sometimes I think we are there are almost there to a Corporacracy and I'm not sure how it can be changed. It would take a true believer surrounded by many powerful true believers fighting against Corporacracy and I'm beginning to think it's like the mafia. It can be dangerous to your health to attempt to stand in the way of these mulitnational corporations having complete control. Obscene amounts of money are involved and that's hard to fight against.

I do like the fact that Edwards is at least talking about it.

3. Edwards has experience standing up to large corporations....
... and he would not back down to corporations if he were President.

THe key to regaining control over corporations is real public interests government regulation, and commonsense corporate tax reform.

However, the only way to gain enough time to implement those measures is to have a President leading the charge to implement public financing of campaigns. Edwards has made this a priority, and that would sap the power and influence corporations have over Congressmen to maintain the current corrupt system.

4. Edwards has been pressing this issue which should be essential to any progressive looking for change
If the MSM does not cover it, you have to ask 'Why Not?'

It might have something to do with denying coverage of an issue that hits them in their own pocketbooks.

If progressives at DU do not realize that Edwards is making this a key position in his Campaign, you have to ask "Why Not?" Especially in light of those who continue to try and paint Edwards as not being liberal, and being too 'centrist.'
