BushCo is trumpeting great progress in Iraq, despite the same-day reports of 2007 being the deadliest year yet for our troops. Lieberman announced "we're winning!" and that the tide has turned.

I ask every DUer, and even the freepers and the sub-freepers at that other horrible site, to heed the words of Gary Kasparov on Bill Maher's show a couple of weeks ago. Bill was commenting on Vlad Putin's strong support among the Russian people, as reported in the polls. Kasparov literally laughed ad Maher and replied "How do you know?" Who is reporting the figures?

Seriously. When you hear Lieberman and Sean Hannity and Joe Scarborough, or ANYBODY saying we're suddenly doing great in Iraq, simply ask "HOW DO YOU KNOW?"

The Pentagon and the Gov in general have a total lock on news coming out of Iraq. No news or films coming out do so without clearance from the GOP Pentagon. So, next time a freeper or a semi-freep like Lieberman come out and claim we're doing so well in Iraq, just ask them..."How do you know?"

Since when is a White House press release reliable for anything more than wiping your ass (and they're not even very well suited for that...I keep getting a reverse picture of Bush on my ass, like a big piece of Silly Putty).
