23. But *will* it be debated in the Judiciary Committee? |
|
Or will it just languish there?

4. Will somebody please explain to me what has happened? |
|
Sorry, I need a civics lesson.
Kucinich introduced Res. 333 to impeach Cheney... that much I understand.
But then what happened, and what does that mean?

6. After it was introduced, |
|
Hoyer moved to table the motion.
Democrats voted TO table it, Republicans voted AGAINST tabling it (ie, letting it proceed to a vote).
Now, Hoyer wants to refer the resolution to committee, which Dems are voting FOR, and Repugs are voting AGAINST.

7. Hoyer tried to table it.The Repubs think they have a winner in voting it down |
|
so they voted NOT to table it to actually have a vote to send it to committee which they are doing now.

22. Both parties are out of touch |
|
Neither one realizes Cheney is very unpopular and voters would not hold it against Dems if they did proceed w/ a dual track session - impeachment investigation and regular business.

America isn't interested anymore. The Big Dog said so, same as he said so when he let this band of criminals off the hook the first time.

None of this would have happened if the Dems had stood up for Kucinich like they should have. Now, it remains alive, but the Repukes don't get to keep up their charade. The result is still not as good as it would have been if we all just voted not to table.

16. Yep, the repukes wanted a quick debate and nay vote.. |
|
They thought the Dems did too. Now it's going to comittee where it will linger while the MSM is forced to report that articles have been introduced. There's no way they can ignore it now. Impeachment proceedings have begun!

They could certainly do that, but it would be too obvious.

30. There's at least some of the Dem pundits that would keep their mouths shut about it |
|
unless asked. And the M$M is perfectly capable of not asking.
Still, one can certainly hope, and I do.
