7. We can only hope that is the case.
I suspect more devious reasoning behind the repuke
support of this.

He thinks it can be defeated now. So when it's brought up again they have the talking point, 'We already voted on this!'

15. My mind has been wandering
back to those days too. I wonder. Wouldn't it be something if the Republicans, the ones we have so hated for the way they did the "peoples business" were the one's who ended up standing for the constitution against some of the Dems?

That aside, I am wondering if all these old feelings are going to amount to any more than just that, feelings.

not a chance. They are voting against the motion to table so they can support cheney
when the vote comes on the articles of impeachment. They haven't turned on him at all. They are setting things up to make him (and themselves) look like winners.

Did I hear this correctly?

They believe its a ridiculous move by Kucinich, and wanted it ended as soon as possible. That's why they voted no.???

24. This is so fucking disgusting, I can't stomach it.

Republicans, seeing that the democrats were clearly going to overwhelmingly vote to table the resolution, voting against tabling the resolution, in order to force the democrats on the record, concerning Cheney impeachment.

THE DEMOCRATS DISGUST ME FOR WANTING TO TABLE THE RESOLUTION!!! RAT BASTARD, CONNIVING, BACKSTABBING COWARDS!!!

YES, THIS IS THE WEIRDEST SESSION I CAN REMEMBER IN QUITE SOME TIME, AND I'M ASHAMED TO DEATH HOW OUR SYSTEM HAS BECOME SO PERVERTED!!!

31. Well fine then. The Dems are all on record for voting to table this thing.
Its their political careers on the line and if they are not a united front against Bush/Cheney policies they have statedtheir positions today.
So Be It.
Idiots.

29. No apparently Boehner wants it to come to the floor to intimidate
Dems, that is why Pelosi and Hoyer do not want this impeachment, and apparently on C span they are trying to spin it saying this is for Dennis's campaign, they just had a reporter from Quarterly on and he said the repigs had a game plan on this. Now we need the Dems not to put their tails between their legs, they want to refer to the House Judiciary Committee. The repigs are calling this ludicrous.
