Bush will veto ENDA. Will Democrats capitalize on it?

80% of the country supports workplace discrimination protection for gays and lesbians.

But my bet is that our brave candidates won't make an issue of Bush's impending veto, simply because they're afraid to identify too closely with any "gay" issue, no matter how popular.

Which is too bad, because this one has overwhelming support and could be used, politically, to really hammer the Republicans as hypocritical bigots.

it's possible to take a brief break from the eighty threads discussing the total daydream of Cheney's impeachment to talk about the very real immediate issue of human rights for fellow Americans.

You would think.
